Shrubby Thickets

Shrubby thickets are common undergrowth in the coastal areas with their tangles of blackberry, huckleberry, salmonberry, elderberry, salal, and ferns. This habitat exists along many of the roadsides adjoining wet coniferous and broadleaf forests.
